UpperMakefield.com

Award Winning Township Website

In 2009, Upper Makefield, home of Washington's Crossing, was ready for a website. With forward-thinking ideas already in play and a computer savvy population, we were able to include topics and details not normally found on a township website.

Upper Makefield expressed interest in building their site on a dynamic back-end. We utilized Drupal, resulting in up-to-date news stories, an employment page and effective archives. What's more, the long run expense is less than the average site. Everything from code laws to recent meetings are easily found, thanks to some slick site-mapping by Michelle Noonan of Word Work. This site is truly a service to residents.

Expressing the history of the township, I developed a colonial color palette and paired it with a modern cleanliness. From typeface choice to the left colum scrolls, this site shows Upper Makefield's tech-savvy, environmentally conscious culture while telling the story of its roots in history.
