This small sign system packs a big punch in a small number of signs. Safety, and the rules that ensure it, are very important to an aquatic center or pool area. On any given day in the summer, there are many people at the township aquatic center in an environment that comes with many dangers. Knowing the rules and sticking to designated areas for certain activities helps to reduce the risk of acidents.
The Sign System was planned to be accompanied by a flat-panel screen that played an animated slide show of event anouncements, team information and rule reminders. Lindsay felt it important to plan the screen into the set and to make it a focal point for those waiting in line, attracting attention to the desk itself. Yes, there were pirate parties, if you were wondering!
Pilons were designed to set perameters for activity and adult areas. The corners were rounded at fabrication and the illustration wrapped in vinyl-backed plexi over wood pilon. The wrapped splash was particulerly well received.
This sign system is fabricated an in place as of the summer season 2010 and will be an asset to the center for the next several years. It is made of sprayed quarter-inch plexies and vynl lettering. Fabrication was done beautifully by Display and Sign, and the result is crisp and easy to read by any visitor including those with most disabilities.
